The Plateau Social Media Awards is a yearly event designed to recognize and encourage citizens who create exceptional content daily, giving many a reason to smile whenever they visit their platform online.
The Plateau Social Media Awards (PSMA4.0) 2022 will recognize excellence in content creation, innovation, and awarding talents in various fields, who have carved a niche leveraging the social media platform.
Leveraging on the success of previous editions of the PSMA, This fourth edition promises to be more interactive, educative, and exciting.
The awards will kick start with a Webinar where designated resource persons will speak on the theme: *Cyber Security- Social Media & Data Privacy.*

The Webinar is intended to bring together Social media influencers, Digital Media practitioners, Technology enthusiasts, and researchers to brainstorm on ways to increase media literacy so as to curb the spread of malicious media content amongst Social Media Users.
The singular objective of the program is to bring together relevant stakeholders and actors in the Social Media / Digital Space and create linkages for collaboration in the area of media literacy to enable the building of an ecosystem that reduce to the nearest minimum the activities of hackers and scammers online.
As way of ensuring credibility in the voting process, an independent technical committee carried out the process of nominations and online voting and the winners will be announced by the committee in a press release.
The Webinar and Awards will hold on Easter Monday, 18th April, 2022 in Jos, Plateau State-The Hub of information Communication Technology in Northern Nigeria.
Attendance is strictly by invitation and reservations.
