Wizkid and Drake collaboration was very important for me — Skepta

Skepta has revealed that the collaboration between Wizkid and Drake was more important to him than a collaboration with the Canadian rapper.

It’s been in the public space that Skepta was very instrumental in getting Drake and Wizkid work together.

“Me and Drake’s first meeting musically was on a Wizkid record. That was more important to me than asking Drake to jump on a song of mine,” he said in an interview.

While Come Closer was a straight hit, Wizkid was also one of the first Nigerians to bag a feature with Drake.

On the other hand, Skepta and Wizkid have made music together; Energy, Longtime.
